Bathroom selfie before final class performance at Second City, Standup Immersion 101

I have always written. From a self-published book of stories as a ten-year-old, to poetry in my twenties, and in the last few years to comedy.

From 2014-2017, I surprised myself by studying standup comedy at the Second City and Feminine Comique in Chicago. During this time, I’ve also embarked on a series of open-mic standup sets under a pseudonym, as a way to explore the craft as well as the pleasure and anxiety that accompany it.

In 2017 I also wrote and performed two 2-minute performances, entitled On The Nature of Pens and Three Unpainted Pictures of a Home, Before and After Repossession by the IRS.
